Recruitment
is a vast and incredibly diverse industry, which, quite
rightly, services the needs of a vast range of companies
of all sizes and in all sectors. Within these many,
many sub sectors the professional recruitment industry
stands out as one of the most fast moving and dynamic -
our clients are some of the world’s largest employers
whilst our candidates are highly skilled, highly paid
professionals. As a consequence our industry requires
effective representation from a specialised body.
The Forum of Professional Recruiters was
established in 1999 to present a joint response to the
government’s consultation on regulation of the entire
industry. Since then as a trade association made up of
some of the leading companies in the sector, we have
enjoyed regular audience with the DTI, ensuring the
specific views of our Members are successfully
represented, be it the Agency Workers Directive, The
Employment Agency Regulations, IR35, Section 23 or more
recently, the proposed VAT changes.
Since 1999 our mission has subsequently
developed. Along with continuing to represent the
opinions of professional recruiters to various
government departments, we also advise on regulatory
developments; host quarterly forums for exchanging
non-competitive information; host regular meetings with
prominent speakers and promote our sector to the widest
possible audience. The Forum aims to be at the
forefront of industry best practice, building a
recognised stamp of quality, which will set members
apart from competitors.
We welcome new members, large companies
and small, the only criteria being that your company
operates in the professional recruitment sector. In
return members benefit from informal and open exchange
of information at our regular meetings, discussion
groups and legal presentations, as well as the knowledge
that we can represent the concerns of the industry at
the highest level.
Please feel free to
